Solar hot water systems
Sustainable, economical hot water on demand, in the home, the workplace or anywhere it’s required with solar hot water systems.
How it works
Solar hot water systems use the sun’s energy to heat water through solar collector panels, storing the hot water in cylinders until it's required. The system also works side-by-side with existing water heating systems; ensuring hot water is always available from the most cost-effective source. The solar panels can be roof or ground mounted, and are an economical, sustainable solution for both residential and commercial settings.

Other considerations
From April 2011, the government plans to make annual payments for solar hot water under the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme. These payments could amount to £500 per annum for a four bed detached house. To ensure you can get these, you need to use a Microgeneration Certification Scheme certified installer like True Energy. Some local organisations may also provide grants or interest free loans for installing some renewable technologies.
